Become the best all-round swimmer you can be

Over 16 self-paced lessons and practical challenges, you will become a more knowledgeable, confident, and joyful swimmer – both in the pool and outdoors. Becoming a Renaissance Swimmer will equip you to make the most of the transformative power of water. You will develop a deep understanding of swimming and how you can improve across all strokes, distances and water types.

Renaissance Swimmer was created by Simon Griffiths, founder and publisher of Outdoor Swimmer magazine, and author of Swim Wild & Free, A Practical Guide to Swimming Outdoors 365 Days a Year. Simon is an accomplished masters and outdoor swimmer and was part of the team that created the STA Open Water Coaching qualification.

Who is the project for?

Anyone who swims, in pools or open water, who enjoys thinking about their swimming and wants to swim more mindfully and expand their swimming skills.

What does it cover?

Everything from improving your swimming technique to pool racing, long-distance swimming and winter swimming – and ideas for applying what you learn in swimming to your life.

How does it work?

The project consists of 16 core sections. On signing up, you get full and immediate access. You will also receive a weekly email for 16 weeks to help keep you on track.

Enjoy a healthier, fitter and more adventurous life by becoming a Renaissance Swimmer. Adding any swimming to your life would be a good thing.
