Summary

There are good reasons to practise sprinting and race skills, even if you don’t plan to race (but you should consider it). To race well, you need to hone your skills on starts, turns, finishes and relay takeovers, on all strokes. Cultivate a competitive yet sportsmanlike mindset, using competition to push your limits and refine your skills while recognising the importance of mental preparation and resilience in achieving peak performance.
